Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, mostly a Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 schedule.
Summary:
The Advanced Nurse Clinician is a professional registered nurse who is an expert in the care of a defined patient population within a specialty clinic or subspecialty area. The clinician assumes a leadership role and supervisory responsibilities in the development, organization, and implementation of care and services for this patient population. The role integrates direct patient care, education, consultation, and research/quality improvement to support high-quality, patient- and family-centered care across Specialty Care Services.
Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
* Basic Life Support
Nonessential:
* Basic Life Support Instructor
* Certified Pediatric Nurse or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse
- Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion
- Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurse
- Certified Nephrology Nurse
- Certified Nurse Operating Room
- Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse
- Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse
- Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse
Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing
Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:

* 2 Years job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nursing Specialized
Pediatric ENT Associates (PENTA) at Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham specializes in the diagnostic, medical and surgical care of head and neck diseases in infants and children. All five of our physicians are board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology with current Alabama medical licenses, actively publish in peer-review medical journals, and participate as teachers, presenters, and instructors both regionally and nationally. Synergy of Care As the Otolaryngology specialist for Children’s Hospital of Alabama PENTA has the resources to achieve total synergy of care for our patients. Our team of physicians, nurse practitioners and RNs work closely with audiologists, one-day surgery, radiology, sleep study clinic, and HEAR specialists to offer complete care for any ENT diagnosis. Our team performs specialized assessments and procedures in clinic including nasal/otic foreign body removal, auricular hematoma drainage, nasal endoscopy, fiberoptic laryngoscopy, nasopharyngoscopy, lingual frenulectomy, and maxillary frenulectomy with bipolar cautery. https://youtu.be/aUlTepfOqRg
