Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, 8am-4:30pm.
Summary:
Senior HIM Specialist, under the supervision of the HIM Operations Manager, performs all activities involved in the preparation of medical records for the document imaging and management process and/or ensuring good image quality as well as verification and validation of all patient encounters for COA.
Other information:
Education
- Associate or Bachelor of Science degree preferred in Health Information Management.
- RHIA or RHIT preferred. High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience
- 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a Health Information Management Department.
Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- RHIA/RHIT credentialed preferred
Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Nonessential:
* Registered Health Information Technician or Registered Health Information Administrator
Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* High School Diploma Graduate or Equivalent or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
    - Registered Health Information Administrator
    - Registered Health Information Technician
Nonessential:
* Associates Degree in Health Information Management or Bachelors of Science or Arts in Health Information Management
Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* 2 Years Staff Level
