Senior Accountant
Main Campus Children's of Alabama Day shift Finance Req #: chsys-34530-34698 Location Birmingham, Alabama Schedule Full-time- Job Summary
- Responsible for the completeness, accuracy, recording & reconciliation of fixed assets, information technology, leases/rent, and related accounts.
- Responsible for the completeness, accuracy, recording & reconciliation of ongoing facility & information technology projects and equipment purchases
- Ensure proper accounting treatment of all fixed assets, information technology, leases, repairs, and related accounts in compliance with internal policies & GAAP
- Coordinate with IT & facilities personnel to understand current and upcoming projects & provide relevant reporting & data
- Maintain fixed asset, projects and lease details in relevant accounting systems
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, projections & reconciliations for month-end close, year-end audits, and other requests as needed
- Aid in annual budgeting of depreciation & other fixed asset and/or information systems costs
- Other duties as assigned
- Education
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field with relevant accounting experience required
- Experience
- Two - Three years public or private accounting experience required
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- Certified Public Accountant preferred
- Relevant experience to be considered
