Program Coordinator Palliative Care

- The coordinator is a professional who is an expert in the care of the palliative patient population/subspecialty area. The coordinator assumes a leadership role and supervisory responsibilities in the development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of the supportive and palliative end of life educational program throughout Children’s of Alabama.
- Education
- Education and experience as follows:
- Master's degree in social work
- Master's degree in counseling
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Master's degree in specialty or equivalent degree preferred
- Education and experience as follows:
- Experience
A minimum of two years' experience required. Pediatric oncology and/or hospice experience preferred. - Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- Unrestricted license to practice in state of residence. (LCSW, RN, etc)
- Prefer current certification in or plans to obtain certification as a certified Hospice & Palliative Pediatric Nurse (CHPPN) or a certified Hospice & Palliative Care Administrator (CHPCA) within a reasonable timeframe.

Schedule: Full-time, Day shift, 8:00-4:30
