- The IT Manager for HIM applications will work in the Information Technology department, work with and lead a team, and report to the IT Director. The position supports core functions of the Children’s of Alabama’s IT applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, and efficient services. This position will lead the team responsible for providing customer and system support and install, implement, configure, administer, enhance, and support the IT Systems with minimal guidance from senior members of the team. The IT Manager will have a good understanding of all applications supporting their designated functional areas as well as related and enabling software and serve as support and backup to other IT Systems teams. Strong analytical and evaluation skills are required to provide support for multiple applications, systems, vendors, and users. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of direct reports, end users and technical/subject matter experts. The position requires excellent documentation skills, the ability to lead and mentor assigned team members, and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Education
- Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Business or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Experience
- 5-7 years experience in a business or information technology field as a Business, Systems or Programming Analyst.
- 2-4 years experience directly supervising diverse teams of 5 to 10 members.
- Customer/user support experience.
- Experience with application system in an information technology environment.
- Experience in a health system or related healthcare business preferred.
- Experience with Epic HIM and OnBase preferred.
- Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
Location: Children's of Alabama · Information Technology Enterprise
Schedule: Full-time, Day shift, 8am-5pm
