Interpreter
Main Campus Children's of Alabama Day shift Language Services Req #: 325384 Location Birmingham, Alabama Schedule Part-time (Benefit Eligible)- Job Summary
- First line provider of Interpreter Services to Spanish speaking patients and families throughout Children's of Alabama.
- Requirements
- Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of our department's established internal skills assessment process, which includes:
- A third-party evaluation of language proficiency.
- An in-house skills assessment.
- An interview
- Professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Demonstrate a team approach and ability to multitask.r.
- Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a medical environment
- Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- Medical interpreter certification preferred.
Location: Children's of Alabama · Language Services
Schedule: Part-time (Benefit Eligible), Day shift, 11am-3pm
