Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Monday- Friday 8:00a-4:30p.
Summary:
Works under the supervision of RNs and LPNs to provide assistive care and communication for patients, team members, professional, and technical staff, and visitors.
Other information:
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Immediately following hire at Children’s of Alabama, must successfully complete the Children’s of Alabama Clinical Care Partners program
Experience
- Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- Current BLS certification required

* 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Patient Care Support or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Certified Medical Assistant AAMA
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- Certified Medical Assistant ARMA
- Certified Patient Care Technician
- Certified Emergency Medical Technician ADPH
Orthopedic Clinic specializes in the diagnosis and treat of musculoskeletal conditions of childhood. It is a statewide and regional referral center for congenital, developmental and traumatic disorders for children from birth through adolescence. Our physicians, Fellows, Physician Assistants and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners evaluate and treat conditions ranging from the simple to the complex including: Scoliosis and other spinal conditions, hip disorders of childhood, clubfeet and other foot anomalies, congenital and traumatic limb deficiencies, limb lengthening, Blount's disease and angular limb abnormalities, upper extremity and hand disorders, fractures and dislocations, growth plate injuries, neuromuscular disease, brachial plexus palsies and dwarfism. Rehabilitation Clinic includes the services of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine physicians. Services cover a variety of diseases and conditions including but not limited to cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, brachial plexus injury, and stroke. These physicians have special interests in spasticity management and provide maintenance of Intrathecal Baclofen pumps and perform Botulinum Toxin and Phenol injections for treatment of spasticity and other movement disorders.
Schedule: Monday- Friday, Day Shift, Monday-Friday Standard Days
