Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Monday- Friday with call (days vary), 7am-4:30pm.
Summary:
The Clinician/VIR Procedural room nurse is a professional nurse who is an expert in the care of vascular interventional radiology patient population and is responsible for coordinating and implementation of care services to the specified patient population. The clinician assumes a leadership role and supervisory responsibilities in the development, organization and care of the patient. In addition to the clinician role, the VIR nurse specialist will be responsible for the nursing role in all vascular interventional radiology procedures, which includes pre, intra, and post procedural care.
Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
* Basic Life Support
Nonessential:
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Bachelor of Science Nursing in Nursing or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing and 2 Years job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nursing Experience RN
Interventional Radiology performs minimally invasive procedures on any organ of the body except the heart using image guidance. Image guidance can include CT, fluoroscopy and ultrasound. Most procedures are performed in IR suite located in the OR. We also perform some procedures at the bedside. In addition to procedures, we manage and staff the interventional radiology clinic as well as support IR physicians in the Vascular Anomaly clinic.
Schedule: 7-4:30 M-F with call, days vary, Day Shift, Monday-Friday Standard Days
