Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Summary:
The GI OR Scheduler – Specialty Care Services is responsible for coordinating and maintaining accurate procedure schedules in the electronic medical record (EMR) to support efficient, safe, and family-centered care. This position serves as a key point of contact for patients, parents, providers, and clinic staff regarding appointment details, pre-procedure instructions, and schedule changes. The GI OR Scheduler demonstrates strong customer service and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

• Preferred: One year of experience in an administrative, clerical, or healthcare scheduling role

The Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division at Children's of Alabama provides comprehensive multidisciplinary evaluation and management of pediatric gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional problems. These may include conditions such as liver disease, feeding disorders, eosinophilic esophagitis, functional GI disorders, intestinal rehabilitation, and inflammatory bowel disease. Academic Fellows, Residents and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners also provide world-class, disease-specific care in this area under the supervision of the attending MD. Multidisciplinary patient-centered care is the focus of the Division. Close interaction with Pediatric Surgery, Radiology, Pathology, Anesthesiology and Nutrition services provide ample opportunity for optimizing patient care.
