In Over the Mountain Pediatrics at Over The Mountain Pediatrics

Schedule: Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day shift, 4 days, occasional Saturdays (8am to 1pm).

Summary:
Responsible to the physicians for the full scope of nursing duties.

Responsibilities: Triage patients in the office. Assist physicians when necessary during patient situations.  Administer immunizations, antibiotics, allergy shots and oral medications.  Counsel patients in office and by telephone. Fill out forms needed by patients for daycare, schools, college, WIC forms, etc. Transfer information to charts, during patient calls, phone reports, and inform the physician of report. Call in prescriptions for patients that have called in for advice and medication. Perform audio, visual tests and tympanograms when needed. Triage patient calls to determine if they need to be seen or can medication be prescribed, based on doctor's approval. Assist with traumas, clean and prepare the wound for treatment. Administer Nebulilzer treatments for asthma patients. Perform catheterizations. Assist with patient education, i.e., Asthma and Diabetes. Perform other duties as required.

Other information:

Knowledge of specific office machines, x-ray machines, hearing and vision lab test, and fax/copier machine.

Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
    - Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
    - Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
* Basic Life Support

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:

* Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing
