Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Evening shift, 7a-7p rotating weekends.
Summary:
Primarily within the acute behavioral health inpatient unit, engage with patients, treatment team, and staff to help address challenging behavior. Through 1:1 patient care assignment and observation, collect data used by Licensed Behavior Analyst, therapist or Psychologist to develop individualized behavior plans, implement plan and report on the patient’s response to intervention. Primary diagnoses may include Neurodevelopmental Disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Impulse Control Disorder and Psychotic Disorder.
Other information:
Education – High school diploma, or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred with experience in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.
Experience – Preferred 2 years’ experience working with children diagnosed with developmental delay.
Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries – Certification as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) must be obtained within 30 days of beginning employment.

* Bachelors of Science or Arts in Psychology

* 2 Years job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Behavioral Counseling
The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit is comprised of 44 beds and provides a therapeutic, engaging environment for children ages 4 to 18. The Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit is a rewarding place to work where our care team makes an impact on children’s lives with every interaction. Along with psychiatrists, therapists, and nurse practitioners, we are involved in the day to-day care and decision making that helps kids and families live their best lives. We work hands-on with children of all ages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, suicide, self-control, and trauma. We teach them new emotional and behavioral skills in a fun and interactive way. Our patients need to know that someone cares and can help keep them safe. Someone who can listen compassionately without judgement.
