Mgr Cyber Security and Provisioning
Main Campus Children's of Alabama Day shift Information Technology Infrastructure Req #: chsys-34817-34955 Location Birmingham, Alabama Schedule Full-time- The Manager of Enterprise Provisioning Services & IT HIPAA oversees the operations of the enterprise security solutions through management of provisioning analysts. This position is also responsible for selection of appropriate security solutions and oversight of any vulnerability audits and assessments. This position is expected to interface with Staff in other Departments as needed, and to share the corporate security vision with those individuals. They will solicit involvement from all areas of the enterprise to achieve a more secure environment through information sharing and co-operation.
- This position will serve as a Lead-level functional expert within the Information Technology Department. Responsibilities include providing leadership and coordination of teams consisting of management, users, IT staff and vendors. This individual will participate in design, vendor evaluation, implementation, and management of multiple projects. Position will provide direction to analyst staff in the development and implementation of systems or in problem-solving. Responsibilities include interacting with/supporting various hospital departments and other IT teams to complete needs analysis, design, integration, implementation, maintenance, training, and security of information systems.
- This position includes responsibility for coordination of the implementation, support and monitoring of Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) activities for the Information Technology Department, Departments, and Physician Practices supported by the IT Department. This includes review of HIPAA policies, practices, procedures, etc., compliance reviews, assistance with the development of HIPAA/Privacy policies and strategies, and investigation of incidents and breaches.
- The Manager will also oversee the IT HIPAA activities and assist IT and Risk Management in maintaining HIPAA compliance for the Hospital.
- This position is also responsible for the supervision of Enterprise Provisioning team within Information Technology to ensure the practice of controlling user access to IT resources and applications within the organization
- Provide hands-on assistance to Staff as necessitates to meet project goals and timelines.
- To recognize opportunities for improvement to procedures and practices and proactively offering ideas and solutions to problems which impact or influence team performance.
