Over The Mountain Pediatrics

Work schedule will be Full-time, Days, Monday - Friday, and on a rotation for Saturdays (half day).

Summary:
Responsible for providing support to Physicians and nursing staff. Receives patients and their families.

• Retrieve patients from the waiting area and accompany them to the exam room
• Triage patient obtaining the reason for the visit and a brief history, recording vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, head circumference and pain score
• Prepare patients for examinations and performing routine screening tests.
• May assist the physician during the examination and procedures
• Restrain patient as needed during examination/procedures
• Provide rotating evening/weekend OMA coverage as needed
• Clean and sanitize exam rooms between patients, thoroughly clean and sanitize exam rooms weekly. 
• Stock/maintain supply levels and equipment exam rooms, clean and prepare instruments for sterilizing 
• Assist in lab as needed
• Other responsibilities as needed

Other information:
BCLS certification within 30 days of employment required.

Nonessential:
* Basic Life Support

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Graduate or Equivalent
• 1 or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Clinical Assistant in a healthcare setting. Pediatrics experience is a plus!
