In Lactation Center at Main Campus McWane Building

Work schedule will be Part-time Benefits Eligible on the Day Shift, Varies.

Summary:
The Lactation Consultant will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating lactation services appropriate for age and disease of pediatric patients.

Other information:
Advanced knowledge of manual and electric breast pumps, electronic infant scales, and breastfeeding assisted devices. Working knowledge of general office equipment (such as, but not limited to, facsimile machine, photocopier) is required.

Information Technology
Basic knowledge of hardware (personal computer) and a working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite software as well as lactation related software are required.

Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
    - Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
    - Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
    - Registered Dietician ABOED
* Certified Lactation Consultant

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Bachelors of Science or Arts or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
    - Associates Degree and 4 Years Staff Level

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* 3 Years job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Nutrition
