To serve patients, hospital employees and visitors who patronize the gift shop.
Reporting Relationship: Gift Shop Manager, Assistant Gift Shop Manager, and Director of Volunteer Services
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with selection and purchasing of gift shop items.
- Run the register and gift wrap requested items.
- Answer phones and take phone orders for patients and families.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Assist with display design and stocking.
Education
- High school diploma or GED
Experience
- Requires a working knowledge of computers and related technology, including comfort with point-of-sale systems, email communication, and basic data entry.
Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- None required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must have a positive attitude, strong customer service skills and the ability and desire to work as a positive team member.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to handle money correctly.
- The ability to deal effectively with problems and exercise good judgment when making decisions.
- Ability to work in a busy environment.
Location: Children's of Alabama · Gift Shop
Schedule: On-call/Flexi, Day shift, 10:00-4:00
