In Critical Care ECMO at Main Campus Quarterback Tower

Work schedule will be Weekends on the Weekend Shift, Saturday/Sunday PM.

Summary:
The ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) Specialist is a professional registered nurse/ certified or registered respiratory therapist who operates and maintains the ECMO Circuit for patients requiring extracorporeal support for long term pulmonary or cardiac support. The ECMO Specialist functions independently under the direction of the ECMO physician, following standing ECMO orders and guidelines.

Other information:
Ability to use medical equipment, patient records, reports, and computer.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Available to take call on 24 hour basis as needed.
Maintain knowledge of all areas/ patient populations where ECMO is initiated and maintained.

Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
    - Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
    - Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
    - Registered Respiratory Therapist and Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist
    - Certified Respiratory Therapist and Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist
* Basic Life Support

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Bachelor of Science Nursing in Nursing or Bachelors of Science or Arts in Nursing

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* 1 Year Staff Level

Our Pediatric ECMO Department is dedicated to delivering advanced, life-sustaining extracorporeal support for critically ill neonates, infants, and children. As a large volume pediatric ECMO center, we care for over 50 patients per year including cardiac and non-cardiac ECMO support. We provide state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based care in collaboration with an expert multidisciplinary team of intensivists, surgeons, nurses, respiratory therapists, perfusionists, and allied health professionals. Recognized as an ELSO Center of Excellence, we are committed to excellence in patient outcomes, ongoing clinical innovation, and the highest standards of safety and quality. Our highly skilled ECMO team is dedicated to exceptional pediatric critical care and strive to contribute expertise within a supportive, collaborative environment.



Schedule: Saturday/Sunday PM, Weekend Shift, 12-Hour Shifts
