In Lab Administration at Main Campus Children's of Alabama

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Mon - Fri 8am-4:30pm.

Summary:
Coordinates the research, continuing education, orientation, and competency activities for the laboratory and laboratory personnel. Oversees current and future laboratory studies for the hospital.

Other information:
Knowledge of Hospital Studies required
Knowledge of laboratory and medical terminology
Experience dealing with people and managing projects in a timely and constructive manner is required
Good working relationships with Hospital/Lab personnel.

Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist or Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist - AMT

Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Bachelors of Science or Arts in Medical Technology
Nonessential:
* Masters Degree

Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:

The Laboratory Administration Department provides leadership and operational guidance and support for all sections of The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. This team of leaders oversee the operations, regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, and resources to ensure the efficient delivery of laboratory services. As a critical link between clinical staff, laboratory personnel, organizational leadership, we remain committed and focused on collaboration, maintaining high standards and accreditation, and driving continuous improvement.
