Admin Assistant Neurophysiology

Work schedule will be Full Time on the Day shift, worker.

Summary:
Coordinate the administrative activities of the Neurophysiology Lab. Provide administrative, patient related and clerical services. Administrative responsibilities including entering information for check requests, proofreading and editing policies and procedures, managing billing statements- payables and receivables, running reports for department, managing requests for patient data, creating charges, and auditing procedures. Clerical responsibilities including: compilation of forms and documentation, initiating staff correspondence, meeting minutes, ordering supplies, and answering telephones. Patient related functions including: receiving patient procedure orders (inpatient, outpatient and preadmissions), confirming insurance, scheduling appointments, greeting families and providing assistance. Must be able to maintain an even workflow and keep the office running in an efficient and professional manner. Demonstrates courteous and professional behavior and is able to interact with clinical and professional staff.

Other information:
A general knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and 50 WPM type speed are required. Previous experience with Miscrosoft Office is required. Must be able to demostrate knowledge of word processing and other computer skills.

* 3 Years job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Administrative or Clerical
