DRG Specialist
Main Campus Children's of Alabama Day shift Health Information Management Req #: 325725 Location Birmingham, Alabama Schedule Full-time- Job Summary
- Employee is responsible for coding for Inpatient patient types in accordance with ICD-10-CM/PCS rules and internal HIM policies. Employee will be required to physically report to HIM department for 2-6 months. Timeline for remote reporting is based on the discretion of the Coding Manager/HIM Director based on individual. Work together with CDE “Clinical Documentation Excellence” staff to insure appropriate assignment of APR/MS-DRG’s.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience
- Two years’ experience coding Inpatient patient types required.
- Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- RHIT, RHIA, and/or CCS required.
